Miami has never lacked restaurants, clubs, or beautifully lit rooftops. What it has lacked, according to Flexmode founder and CEO Pierre Aurimond, is a reliable way for driven, high-achieving people to find one another amid the noise. Since launching in May 2026, the members-only app has quietly become one of the city’s most-discussed social additions. Now, it is preparing to test whether that formula travels, with launches in Houston and New York planned for October and November.
Social Infrastructure for the Driven
Flexmode describes itself less as an app and more as social infrastructure: a members-only network connecting ambitious people in real life, whether over dinner, on a yacht deck, at a rooftop party, or on a padel court. It isn’t a dating app or a traditional networking club. The goal, Aurimond says, is to give members “the best events and experiences in Miami, all centered to make them have a great time and connect with ambitious and driven people.”

The idea predates the company by years. While completing a master’s degree at King’s College London, Aurimond noticed a pattern among his classmates: accomplished, career-driven people who had stopped attending networking events, not because they lacked interest in meeting others, but because the return on their time felt too low.
Aurimond, who has a finance background and later moved from London to Miami, had seen how one well-placed introduction could reshape a career or company. That observation became Flexmode’s premise: apply the same intentionality people bring to their careers to their social lives.
Curating Miami’s High-Caliber Crowd
Miami proved a fertile testing ground, offering plenty of places to spend an evening but little structure for consistently meeting high-caliber people outside an existing circle. Flexmode built that structure and did not make entry automatic. Every applicant is reviewed by hand.
The platform is designed for people who have already invested years in their careers, businesses, health, or craft and want to spend time with others who have done the same. Once accepted, members are matched by interest, schedule, and location, and can RSVP to a rotating calendar of private dinners, yacht socials, rooftop parties, wellness events, and fitness meetups.
“The circle we create within Flexmode is the product,” Aurimond says. “Every event is simply a vehicle for putting exceptional people in the same room.”
Riding Miami’s Cultural Wave
Much of Flexmode’s momentum has come from embedding itself in Miami’s biggest cultural moments rather than competing with them. These include VIP Beach Deck access during Formula 1 Miami, participation in Paraiso Miami Swim Week, and a partnership with The Bass Museum of Art.
The strategy points to ambitions beyond social events and toward culturally relevant experiences more broadly. It has also attracted brand partners including Modern Luxury, Paraiso Miami Swim Week, The Bass Museum of Art, and InBody.
Expanding to Houston and New York
With a Miami membership base of several hundred hand-reviewed members, Flexmode is entering its next phase: geographic expansion. Houston and New York will launch this fall, with Los Angeles and Chicago among the markets on its longer-term roadmap.
Actually, Houston was a deliberate first stop. “Houston is one of the fastest-growing hubs for ambitious, driven professionals in the country, and it’s a natural extension of what we’ve built in Miami, a city full of people who want more than a night out, they want a real circle of people pushing themselves forward,” Aurimond says.
New York has been part of the plan since Flexmode had a single member. “New York is the center of gravity for exactly the kind of person Flexmode is built for: ambitious, high-performing, and looking for real connections beyond their existing network,” he says. “Bringing our social infrastructure there was always part of the plan from day one.”
A New RSVP Tech Playbook for Scaling
Scaling into new cities without losing the curated quality that built Flexmode’s Miami following is where the company’s newest product feature comes in. A new RSVP tool allows outside partners to host events directly on Flexmode’s platform, using its technology and member base rather than building a parallel system.
“Our new RSVP feature lets partners host their events directly on Flexmode, using our technology,” Aurimond explains. “So in every new city, starting with Houston and New York, we can plug into existing events on day one instead of building a full local team and calendar from scratch. It’s how we scale fast without slowing down while still providing the best opportunities for our members.”
That means the Houston and New York launches will not require building event calendars from zero. Flexmode can immediately connect members with partner-hosted experiences, then add its own signature dinners, wellness activations, and yacht socials over time, following the playbook established in Miami.
Built for Those Who Have Already Arrived
Aurimond remains direct about who the platform is, and isn’t, for. “We’re not building a place to become ambitious,” he says. “We’re building a place for people who already are.”
Membership includes access to all events at no additional cost, sidestepping the paid classes and expensive nights out typical of Miami’s image-conscious social scene while still delivering the production value and brand partnerships members expect. Because the same faces tend to reappear across settings, from a Tuesday dinner to a Saturday rooftop, the connections formed through Flexmode can have more staying power than any single event.
