This is my selection of most amazing and luxurious places to visit in Bangkok, whatever the length of your stay. Two days are more than enough! Shopping malls, spas, fine-dining restaurants, art… All tastes will be satisfied, prepare the wallet and enjoy!
A brand new luxury shopping mall to visit in Bangkok. Let’s make it clear : this is the next generation of high-end shopping center. It’s a huge complex, with premium to super top-notch brands, entertainment, a last floor with a crazy vegetal design… A destination not to be missed for any shopping addict.
2. Siam Paragon
The largest mall in Asia at the time of building. Siam Paragon is an institution in Bangkok. All fashion + cars + jewelry + watchmaking brands are there, as well as many fine-dining restaurants. For a bit of entertainment, you can visit the huge aquarium on basement – Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World – with plenty of surprises.
3. The Oriental Spa
Attached to Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, the Oriental Spa is located on the opposite Chao Praya river bank. Its reputation is legendary : it has been awarded many times best spa in the world, both for treatment quality and the beauty of the place. Surrounded by tropical vegetation, the colonial style building is absolutely amazing!
4. The Opium Spa
Certainly the most hidden and surprising spa to visit in Bangkok! The Siam Hotel, situated on riverside away from the busy city center, hosts the gorgeous Opium Spa and its range of Sodashi products. The interior design is very detailed and ideal for relaxation ; honestly that’s one of the most beautiful spa I have seen worldwide.
5. Vertigo and Moon Bar
Among the most iconic locations in the capital, we find Vertigo restaurant and Moon Bar. Nestled at the rooftop of Banyan Tree Bangkok tower, it offers unparalleled views of the city from the 61st floor – in addition to premium cocktails and an international fine-dining menu. Definitely a place to avoid if you suffer from vertigo ;)
6. Celadon Restaurant
Few steps away from Lumphini Park, the Sukhothai Hotel proposes a restaurant surrounded by nenuphars and a splendid garden : Celadon. Voted best restaurant in Bangkok by Travel and Leisure magazine, it serves an authentic palette of Thai flavors and spices by Chef Rosarin Sriprathum.
7. MOCA Bangkok
The Museum Of Contemporary Art is a an art museum in Bangkok owned by a Thai businessman. Opened in 2012, it’s one of the largest art museum in Asia and features mostly Thai artists. Inspirational, astonishing, this place transports you to another world and will make you see Thailand with new eyes.
