Hong Kong is a great place to experiment famous luxury hotels chains, but many gorgeous boutique hotels are available and worth a visit such as Lanson Place Hong Kong, a true hidden jewel that will make you feel like home.
Member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Lanson Place Hong Kong is settled in a quiet area of Causeway Bay district, few minutes walking from Lee Gardens buildings, Time Square and several other luxury shopping malls ; just a perfect location for business or leisure trips.
The overall interior design of Lanson Place Hong Kong is contemporary-French inspired ; it starts from the Lobby at ground floor with a beautiful coffee-style waiting area, to 133 Lounge at 1st floor that mixes classical and modern influences with cozy tones. Room corridors follow the same ambience so the overall is very coherent. Brilliant. I am particularly fan of the 133 Lounge and its library – full of books about fashion – which is a really pleasant place to enjoy a local afternoon tea.
A special note about the gym center, very big and well-appointed with Technogym equipment, that is a quite rare facility for such a boutique hotel. Overlooking Victoria Park, I can ensure it’s the greatest place to relieve stress after a hardworking day!
The Grand Luxe Room I had was a corner room, offering 180-degree view over Victoria Park and mountain side. Layout was very convenient with a large place dedicated to living-room, a king-size bed, a bathroom with walk-in shower – amenities by London’s Gilchrist and Soames – and even a fully equipped kitchenette. Actually, I can define it as a luxury city apartment! Choice of furnitures and material is definitely stunning and follows the overall hotel design: modern, elegant, chic. I hugely appreciated the handy smartphone available for free unlimited data, city guide and complimentary calls to some destination including US, France, UK, China, Singapore… This is what we call attention to detail.
I enjoyed an American breakfast at 133 Lounge – Lanson Place Hong Kong doesn’t offer any lunch or dinner service – and it was a lovely experience ; composed of a cold buffet proposed on a large table close to the grand piano and some a-la-carte dishes, it’s a really tasty selection in a gorgeous scenery.
Level of exigency
This is mostly why I love luxury boutique hotels: attention to detail and service quality are at their top, and Lanson Place Hong Kong is a perfect example. From doormen at ground floor who do their best to welcome and help finding a taxi to waiters at 133 Lounge, service was faultless and after 1 day I was recognized by everyone. Housekeeping done always on time – no turndown service however – and anticipating proactively my needs by storing, for example, my IT stuff on the desk so they were ready to be used. I like it!
Stay from January 30th to February 4th, 2016 – Sponsorized media visit, but this article reflects 100% of my opinion and thoughts.
Lanson Place Hong Kong opened in 2005, has been refurbished in 2013 and is composed of 194 guestrooms and suites. I stayed in a Grand Luxe Room – around 55sqm – which public rate starts at 4.700 HKD/night.
